A mahogany library desk, the top inset with a panel of tooled leather, the frieze drawer fitted with a sliding tray and lidded compartments bearing the letters of the alphabet, with a dummy drawer to the reverse, on dual tapered column end supports and splayed legs teminating in brass caps and castors, 18th century, restorations, and parts later -- 47in.
