A Victorian fluted compressed pear-shaped three-piece tea service on shell and foliate feet and with chased waved rims and leaf-capped scroll handles, each chased with convolvulus flowers and foliage and with C-scroll cartouches engraved with monograms and with eagles with outstretched wings above, the teapot with a fluted leaf-capped rising curved spout and domed hinged cover with finial modelled as an eagle with outstretched wings perched on a rocky outcrop, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, James & Nathaniel Creswick, London 1854 - height of teapot 7¾in., 54.75oz.
