In the match between the Football League and The Scottish League, played on 26th October 1955 at Hillsborough, the Football League defeated the Scottish League 4-2 before 37,788 spectators. Although the jersey in the above lot is lacking its badge and number it is believed to have been the one worn by Telfer in the above match.
