A miniature terrestrial globe, diameter 2½ inches (64 mm). 12 hand-coloured engraved gores, continents coloured in outline, seas with a green wash, showing the tracks of Biscoe's and Cook's 2nd voyage, original varnish, metal pinions (a few minor abrasions, small crack along gore edge at the South Pole). Contained in original wooden 'teacup' case with domed lid (lightly rubbed).
