An attractive brass armillary sphere, diameter 8 5/8 inches (220mm), overall height 15½ inches (394mm). The sphere with aluminium horizon circle divided in four quadrants with zodiac and calendar scales, the brass vertical circle and ecliptic ruled and punched with stars, in the centre a sunball, with rotating wooden earthball and moon on simple three geared mechanism, 10 other planets, including the minor planets of Ceres, Pallas and Juno, represented by brass discs punched with the names and mounted on arms from the central axis, on turned brass base with fruitwood column stand.
