A table celestial globe, diameter 12 inches (31cm), overall height 18 inches (46cm), made up of two sets of 12 engraved gores laid to the ecliptic poles, elaborate constellation figures hand-coloured in outline, old varnish (lightly browned, a few minor abrasions). Metal pinions, brass hour and meridian circles, engraved horizon circle, the globe mounted on a beechwood stand, with four baluster turned legs and cross-stretchers, brass centrepost.
