Edo Period (Circa 1700)
The steep sides rising towards a flaring rim, painted to the exterior with pine, prunus and bamboo (sho-chiku-bai) among chrysanthemum and peonies issuing from rockwork, all above a pale blue washed border with karakusa scrollwork, the base with a six character Jiajing mark
10.7 cm. diam.
