Kirwan played in all three International matches this season; in the match against England, played on 14th February 1903 at Wolverhampton, Ireland were defeated by England 4-0. In the match against Scotland played on 21st March 1903 at Glasgow, Ireland defeated Scotland 2-0, Kirwan scoring one goal. In the match against Wales, played on 28th March 1903 at Belfast, Ireland defeated Wales 2-0.
