A ROMAN BRONZE FIGURE OF APOLLO ON HORSEBACK
CIRCA 3RD-4TH CENTURY A.D.
The mounted deity naked, save for a chlamys draped over his left shoulder, wearing laced boots and a wreath in his hair, which is dressed in a chignon at the nape of his neck with two tresses falling onto his shoulders, his right arm raised, gesticulating with middle and forefinger pointed, the bridled horse with short rigid mane and high stepping right foreleg, lower left arm missing
