A WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE AXEHEAD
MID/LATE 3RD MILLENNIUM B.C.
With cutaway cylindrical socket, semicircular flange at the butt end and flaring blade, 4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) long; another bronze axehead with ovoid socket and gently flaring blade, early 2nd millennium B.C., 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.) long; a socketed conical bronze spear butt, decorated with incised bands of chevron and zigzag, with two attachment holes, 2¾ in. (7.2 cm.) long; and a large group of bronze arrowheads of mainly socketed trilobate form, some with fenestrated blades, some with remains of iron shafts, circa mid-1st millennium B.C./A.D., 4¼ to 1 in.
