TWO CYPRIOT WHITE PAINTED WARE FLASKS
MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 1725-1650 B.C.
One with ovoid body with short cylindrical neck and everted rim, on small flattened base, the body with three pinched lugs down each side connected by broad wavy line, another diminutive lug at base of neck, loop handle behind, with fine black painted linear decoration including registers of zigzags and cross-hatched lozenges separated by wavy lines, cross-hatched chequerboard around the shoulder, repaired; and another flask, similar, the body on small footed base, ring handle and small pinched lug at base of neck, fine black painted lines encircling the neck, broad vertical cross-hatched bands interspersed with wavy lines around the body
