THREE CYPRIOT BLACK-TOPPED RED POLISHED WARE VESSELS
EARLY BRONZE AGE, 2500-1900 B.C.
Comprising a bottle with rounded base, the flaring neck with everted rim, pierced twice at the rim for suspension, the body with incised geometric motifs including hatched lozenges and chequered blocks of parallel lines, 6 5/8 in. (16.8 cm.) high; a hemispherical bowl with tripod base and single pierced lug, encircling frieze of multiple zigzag, 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) high; and an unusual stemmed bowl with narrow everted rim, the red stem with flared foot, a frieze of connecting hatched lozenges around the body, encircling lines above, zigzag around the stem, pierced twice at the rim, 4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) high, all repaired with restoration (3)
