A CYPRIOT INCISED RED POLISHED WARE PLANK FIGURE
EARLY BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 2000-1900 B.C.
Of Shoulder type, the flattened tapered rectangular body with narrower neck and head, the nose in relief, with incised holes for eyes and multiple lines for eyebrows, the slit mouth with vertical line below terminating in an incised hole, with incised linear decoration comprised of a neck-band, hanging necklace and a skirt-band, two vertical lines terminating in dots from either shoulder, on the reverse hair is indicated by vertical zigzags below which hangs a small 'comb' figure and decorative groups of multiple horizontal lines, repaired
