EARLY BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 2000-1900 B.C.
The ovoid shaped pyxis with a bird and miniature plank figure emerging from the shoulder, a pierced lug at either side of the oval aperture, the figure of Slab type with rudimentary arms, the nose in relief, with incised eyes and mouth, detailed tunic and neck-band, the pyxis with incised concentric circles bisected by encircling lines, multiple zigzag between, repaired with restoration to lower body, base missing; and a pyxis lid, of similar ware, rectangular form with pierced lug handle and incised linear decoration
