The first: three-case; red lacquer ground; decoration in gold, silver, black and red hiramaki-e [low-relief lacquer]; compartments and risers gold nashiji [gold flakes suspended in clear lacquer]; rims gold lacquer; on one side drums and drumsticks in a temple building, on the other side a courtier sleeping on the engawa [veranda]; signed in gold hiramaki-e [low-relief lacquer] on the base Koma Kyuhaku saku [made by Koma Kyuhaku];
