ADMIRAL LORD GAMBIER TO SIR RUPERT GEORGE ANNOUNCING HIS SEIZURE OF THE DANISH FLEET AT COPENHAGEN
autograph manuscript written on one side of a single sheet with watermark for EDMEADS & PINE and addressed 'Prince of Wales off Copenhagen 8 Sepr. 1807' I cannot omit to give you a very few lines to tell you of the compleat success of our Expedition, and that we are in possession of the whole Danish Navy at Copenhagen, consisting 10 Sale of the Line 11 frigates and 11 Sloops and a number of Gun boats, prams &c contained within an archive slip and transcript within card file
