cover 1896 (29 July) envelope addressed to Germany by "Local Post" bearing a fine strike of the bilingual "NANKING LOCAL POST" dated oval in violet and bearing Reichspost 20pf. ultramarine tied by Shanghai type 2 c.d.s., the reverse with an indistinct strike of the Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. and Regnit Zlosau arrival. Very fine and rare, believed to be the only example of the local post handstamp sent through the German Post Office
