cover 1902 (24 Aug.) picture postcard of Nagasaki harbour (some soiling on the reverse) posted on board 'Pisa' transport ship, addressed to Shanhaikwan and bears a fine strike of "KAIS. DEUTSCHE/MARINE-/SCHIFFSPOST/No2" c.d.s., the lower corner of the card bears the manuscript "5" of the Pisa provisional, the card additionally bears 1901-04 5pf tied by Tiensin c.d.s. No stamps were available on the Pisa, the postage was paid onboard and the adhesive applied by the Post Office in Tientsin. Very rare. Signed Pfenninger
