A London leaded bronze mortar, 17th century
cast at the waist with a decorative band of shells, leaves and flowerheads, the base cast with reduction of diameter to fit into a wooden stock -- 7¼in. (18.5cm.) high; 8½in. (21.5cm.) diameter
