A MAHOGANY MUSICAL LONGCASE CLOCK

The carved giltwood floral carved broken pediment above a frieze, onlaid with gilt trailing flowersprays, and fitted with an arched glazed door between ormolu mounted Corinthian capitals and enclosing a silvered dial, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, chime/strike dial and day dial, with painted moonphase to the arch, inscribed Robt. Wilkie, Cupar, Fife, the movement with a carillion of fourteen graduated bells and a brass cylinder playing tunes, the case fitted with an indented rectangular kingwood crossbanded trunk door, inlaid with ribbon-tied floral garlands, between canted fluted demi-column angles, with gilt-brass Corinthian capitals, the panelled base inlaid with urn and stellar motifs, on a moulded plinth with ogee bracket feet
