Retailed by Howell James & Co. Circa 1890
The gorge case with black enamel side panels decorated with florally-entwined pink trellises and doves, with conforming dial and gilt painted hands, rubbed retail signature for Howell James & Co, the twin barrel movement with replaced and later platform lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate stamped B, resting on blocks and secured to the base with a bracket
