A French gilt-brass and Limoges enamel mounted striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm
No.1926, panels with monogram TS. Circa 1890
The anglaise riche case with spiral-twist Corinthian columns, mounted with Limoges enamel side panels polychrome decorated with the figures of a lady in Renaissance dress with a butterfly and with a castle in the backgound, and a bearded soldier with halberd, his smock decorated with a double-headed eagle and also with a castle in the background, each panel signed in gilt with the monogram TS, the conforming dial with colourful scrolls to the top spandrels, those below depicting the turrets of a castle and a youth with hunting horn and spear, with gilt Roman chapter ring and gilt hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate numbered 1926
