A French gilt-brass and porcelain-mounted mignonnette carriage timepiece
No.408. Circa 1890
The anglaise riche case with ripple borders, the porcelain side panels painted with storks, within slate grey borders and a raised gilt trellis frame (one with crack to corner), the dial painted with two mallards on a lake, with a further mallard flying to the centre of the off white painted Roman chapter ring with gilt borders (crack to one corner), with blued steel hands, the single barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, numbered 408 on the backplate
