The matt silvered dial signed Glashütte with Roman numerals and gold hour and minute hands, subsidiary up-and-down and seconds dial numbered 9421, the movement with cross-lined plates numbered 9421, the top plate stamped GUB GLASHÜTTE/SA, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic guillaume balance with four circular heat compensation weights, palladium helical balance spring, strip steel detent with jewelled locking stone to side of banking block, jewelled 'scape and third wheel, brass bowl and gimbal, external brass drop handles, two-tier mahogany box with plaque to front inscribed GUB 9421, Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe Glashütte/SA.; with velvet-lined mahogany guard box and German Hydrographic Institute Hamburg certificate dated 5 April 1971
