A Japanese iron and brass striking lantern clock with double calendar (KAKE-DOKEI)
Second half 19th century
The rectangular case with plain side doors and rear plate, with iron top and base plates, on tapering feet, the dial with brass chapter ring with revolving red painted centre carrying the pierced brass hand, with two apertures for the sexagenary calendar, the two train movement with verge escapement and single foliot, with countwheel strike on later (?) domed bell
