Signed M F. Dated 1614
The case exquisitely engraved with the figures of IVSTITIA and FORTITVD within florally engraved ovals to the side doors, the reverse signed and dated M16 F14 above the mounted heroic figure of MARCVS.CVRTIVS within a roundel with floral spandrels, the dial plate engraved with foliage to the top spandrels and a coat of arms to the left spandrel, later Roman chapter ring to the centre with blued steel hands, the movement with the original gilt-metal baluster pillars and frame now with a later going barrel movement with platform escapement
