The case of oval outline with foliate engraving on a hatched ground on the frame and oval loop to the top, the reverse with a swivel stand and numbered at the feet 1453/206, the oval silvered dial engraved with foliage on a hatched ground, the chapter ring with painted Roman numerals and fine blued steel hands, the watch-type going barrel movement with plain three-arm balance to cylinder escapement, the reverse of the dial plate stamped 53
