Vulliamy, London, No.1451. Circa 1840/45
The foliate cast case of cartouche outline and modelled with a mask to the front, on four scroll feet above an integral plinth, with over-lapping stiff leaf gallery and spreading base cast in high relief with leaves and shells against a stipple ground, the silvered dial with Roman chapter ring signed VULLIAMY LONDON and with dot minute track, with engine-turned centre and blued steel moon hands, the single chain fusee movement with circular plates and anchor escapement, signed Vulliamy London 1451, the steel rod pendulum with cylindrical brass bob with repeat number; with ebonised stand raised on bun feet
