The case with raised hollow-cornered panel to the plinth with later skirting, breakarch trunk door flanked by brass-capped and reeded quarter columns, similar detached columns to the hood with pagoda top and brass ball and spire finials, the 13in. wide white painted Roman and Arabic dial signed De Lasalle LONDON in the centre of the chapter ring with seconds ring above and calendar ring below, blued steel hands (minute hand extensively repaired), painted floral spandrels and a further flower display in the arch within a blue and gilt painted urn with false plate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; with later seatboard
