Roger Moore wears a similar dinner suit when he dines with Kamal Khan [Louis Jordan] at his mansion during the memorable scene where he is served the stomach-turning sheep's head.
Doug Hayward was the tailor responsible for Roger Moore's suits worn in the James Bond films. His principle was to ...keep them as classic as possible, as I believe that people will be watching James Bond films in 20 years....
According to the vendor, Hugh Harlow, who worked as Production Supervisor on Octopussy, this suit was worn by Roger Moore in the film. The vendor bought the suit in a sale of costumes at the end of filming.
