2 volumes bound in one, 24° (112 x 58mm.), half titles, engraved title with a portrait of the author and 20 double-page plates (some light browning), contemporary red morocco, flat spine gilt, triple fillet round sides with fleuron cornerpieces, g.e. (very slightly rubbed). Provenance: C.N. Radoulesco (bookplate).
A rare edition of Voltaire's celebrated poem with a few slightly daring engravings. The title of the second part which gives the date of the edition and which is often missing is here present. Cohen-de-Ricci 1030: "Petite édition assez rare".
