3 volumes including plate volume, text vols. 4° (290 x 220mm.), plate vol. 2° (576 x 415mm.), 2 engraved portrait frontispieces, 7 engraved maps, 5 double-page, 36 plates and plans, one double-page, illustrations (some offsetting, occasional spotting, very slight marginal browning), text bound in contemporary calf, spine lettered in gilt (extremities rubbed), plate volume bound in contemporary half calf and marbled boards (extremites rubbed, corners bumped). Provenance: Lord Clonbrock (armorial bookplate).
