Lot Essay

This model, originally designed for Aster/Fulgurex by J. van Reimsdijk as the first ever commercially produced working 4-cylinder compound locomotive in gauge 1, is one of a single limited edition produced in 1986. This particular model is unique in having been assembled on behalf of Fulgurex to represent the original condition of the prototypes with four independant sets of valve gear and a fine representation of the correct 'blued steel' boiler lagging. Complete with original Aster documentation this model has been regularly, but not intensively steamed.
