An ivory okimono of fisherman
19th Century
carved with the father holding a closed parasol and a fishing rod watching over his son holding a fan and a fish, on an oval base beside their basket, signed red lacquer tablet to base -- 7 3/8in. (18.8cm.) high; and another okimono of a haystacker, carved carrying a large bundle of hay on his back, on an oval base beside two small birds -- 7¾in. (19.7cm.) high, (minor wear).
