(Spotting, occasional marginal soiling, slight marginal dampstains at end, library stamp on title, head of subscriber's list and A1.) Contemporary straight-grained red morocco gilt, gilt edges (covers slightly darkened and a little scuffed, spine chipped at head and with shelf mark at base). Hon. W. Scott of University College Oxford (pencilled ascription). Second edition of Baskerville's first and 'perhaps finest' book. Gaskell Baskerville 2.
