The movement mid 18th Century, the case later
The moulded arched cornice centred by a foliate carved bracket, surmounted by later giltwood finials, the arched door flanked by turned pilasters, the case centred by a gilt-metal glazed lenticle, with later foliate carved apron, the dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the later matted centre with date aperture and re-using the original engraved plaque signed JAN BERNINK AMSTERDAM, with rolling moonphase to the arch surrounded by engraved scenes, the four pillar movement with Dutch strike on two bells, the reverse of the dial pierced with week and month apertures, now covered by the matted centre, indicators missing
