The semi-eggshell porcelain finely and delicately painted en grisaille at the centre with two butterflies hovering above a cluster of fruit and flowers including a pineapple, peony and iris, with shells and an insect in the foreground, the steep well enamelled in the famille rose palette with scrolling flowering foliage, and the wide border with gilt trellis-pattern reserved with four grisaille shaped floral cartouches, rim hairline
