by Charles-Alexandre Bouillerot (fl. 1769-1792), marked, Paris, 1781/1782, with the first charge and discharge marks of Henry Clavel 1780-1782, later struck with the Dutch post-1955 mark for 18-carat gold
Circular box, the independent cover and base engine-turned with concentric reeding scattered with pellets, the sides with similarly scattered horizontal reeding, the lid centred by a swirling rosette chased in yellow gold on a matted red gold roundel, all panels framed by flutes, the sablé borders with raised beads
