Circular box, the independent cover and base engine-turned with concentric reeding scattered with pellets, the sides with similarly scattered horizontal reeding, the lid centred by a swirling rosette chased in yellow gold on a matted red gold roundel, all panels framed by flutes, the sablé borders with raised beads
