A French brass striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm, circa 1880
The corniche case engraved with foliate scrolls, with white enamel Roman dial with blued steel moon hands, subsidiary alarm ring, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform with Soldano stamp and numbered 291, with bimetallic balance to the lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on bell to the back plate with repeat number -- 5½in. (14cm.) high to hilt of handle
