A George III mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, first quarter 19th century
The ebony and satinwood line inlaid case with hood with acorn finials to a wavy arch cresting, with gilt-brass composite capitals to reeded outset columns, conforming three-quarter length pilasters flanking the rectangular trunk door, the plinth raised on bracket feet, the 13in. diameter white painted Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date rings, signed WM, BULLOCK BATH (painting retouched), pierced and blued steel hands, with falseplate stamped BELTON to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 84¼in. (214cm.) high
