Liao dynasty (907-1125)
The body tapering from the high shoulder to the flat base, the tall, waisted neck encircled by a raised collar and pierced with a tiny hole into which a small loop suspending a loose ring is inserted, the ends of the loop spreading on the interior and with a flower-form washer at the base of the loop on the exterior

This unusual bronze vase is related in shape to glazed stoneware and earthenware examples of Liao date. See M.
