A Dutch silver two-handled sweetmeat-basket
Mark of Dirk van der Goorbergh, Delft, 1771, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1795 possibly for Gorinchem, with four later spoons
Shaped oval on four cast leaf feet, the body pierced and engraved with lattice-work, with scrolling foliage border and handles and four spoon holders, the centre with a detachable melon-shaped sugar-bowl on branch stem, with four later small spoons with rocaille finials, marked on base of basket and handles of spoons
