Katabori, lightly stained ivory; a standing figure of a Westerner in a curly wig, his mouth open, bending slightly forward at the waist, wearing a ruff and a long coat tied at the waist in an elaborate knot, a tasselled, trumpet-mouthed musical instrument in his left hand, his right hand behind his back supporting a small child which climbs on his left shoulder, the himotoshi formed by two holes, one larger than the other, in the back of the figure, the larger hole below the smaller, signed with incised characters in a rectangular reserve to the right of the larger hole Okakoto, feet restored
