Katabori, stained ivory; a figure of a Westerner standing upright and facing almost the front, with a long curly wig under his wide-brimmed tasselled hat, dressed in a long coat with stylised floral and other designs, and knee-breeches, the eight buttons on the reverse of his stockings of dark horn, holding a long-tailed cockerel with both hands, its tail-feathers curling round his left side, the himotoshi formed by two holes in the back of his skirt, the larger hole below the smaller
