An Italian carved alabaster two-handled vase on pedestal
Circa 1890
Of sectional form, the domed cover with budding acanthus-sheathed finial above an egg-and-dart overhanging rim, over acanthus leaf-tip moulding and waisted neck, the body carved with a band of scrolling foliage between scrolled handles, over ribbon hung garlands, on a spreading foot, the columnar pedestal with central banding, on square base with canted corners
