This unorthodox song was recorded during the 1968 sessions for the Beatles' White Album. In John Lennon's words, it was created by ..Me, George and Yoko, out of our heads on the floor at EMI.... The finished track was considered unsuitable for inclusion on the White Album, but in late 1969 John Lennon called up the tape from the EMI archive, and proceeded to add even more unusual overdubs. He then prepared an edited version of the song, with the intention of releasing it alongside another then-unreleased Beatles number, You Know My Name (Look Up The Number), as a Plastic Ono Band single. The other Beatles intervened to prevent this happening, and the song remained unreleased in any form until one of the less weird mixes was included on Anthology 3.
