A SET OF FOUR ROSEWOOD AND SATINWOOD QUARTETTO TABLES
The three larger tables Regency, the smallest 20th Century
Each with a rectangular top, one veneered in rosewood, one in bird's-eye maple, one in burr-birch and one in burr-elm, above a plain frieze, on turned baluster splindle legs, joined by conforming stretchers
The largest: 31 in. (79 cm.) high; 24¼ in. (61.5 cm.) wide; 17 in. (43 cm.) deep
The smallest: 28½ in. (72.5 cm.) high; 17 in. (43 cm.) wide; 15¾ in. (40 cm.) deep (4)

Lot Essay

A related set of five quartetto tables, with each top inlaid with a different wood and banded with a further different wood was sold by Michael Lipitch, in these Rooms, 4 October 2001, lot 116 (£ 30,550). The smallest table featured a dished compartment between the stretchers.
