Circa 1748, with tiny underglaze blue crossed swords to the back of the base
Modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler, gilt and painted in colours, after an engraving in Les nations du Levant by Le hay in 1714, wearing a fur clad blue bonnet, a trimmed beard, a flowing yellow kaftan enhanced with purple strewn flowers, black slippers, holding a quiver of arrows to his back, an arrow in his right hand and a bowl in his left hand, further with a sword to his left hip, on square rockwork base applied with flowers
