TWO CYPRIOT MOTTLED RED POLISHED WARE BOWLS
EARLY/MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 2000-1800 B.C.
Of hemispherical form with incised geometric and linear decoration, one bowl with four bi-lobed lugs around the rim, a single pierced lug below, the other bowl with two square-ended projecting lugs, one of which is pierced twice, 7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) diam. av.; a Black-Topped Red Polished Ware smaller bowl with single pierced lug, similar, 3½ in. (8.8 cm.) diam.; two similar ware bottles, with incised geometric decoration, the flaring rims pierced twice, both 4¾ in. (12 cm.) high; an Incised Red Polished Ware jug with wide squat neck, 4¾ in. (12 cm.) high; a similar ware gourd jug, with narrow neck and flaring rim, 6¾ in. (17.2 cm.) high; another with neck and handle missing, all Early Bronze Age, 2500-1900 B.C.; and a Black Slip Ware jug with flattened handle and band of incised triangular motifs around the shoulder, dark red in colour, Middle Bronze Age, 1900-1650 B.C., 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.) high, all repaired with slight restoration (9)
