A CYPRO-PALESTINIAN BICHROME WARE 'TANKARD' JUG
LATE BRONZE AGE, 16TH CENTURY B.C.
With wide slightly concave neck, the rounded body with broad handle joining rim to shoulder, with red and black painted decoration, the neck with vertical bands of stylized rosettes, composite zigzag bands above and below, chevrons on the shoulder with encircling straight and wavy lines below, grouped horizontal lines down the handle, the ring base with incised spiral graffito, repaired with minor restoration
